Subject: Revision of interest rates for Small Savings Schemes – reg.

The rates of interest on various Small Savings Schemes for the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25 starting from 1st January, 2025 and ending on 31st March, 2025 shall remain unchanged from those notified for the third quarter (1st October, 2024 to 31st December, 2024) of FY 2024-25.

Subject: Revision of interest rates for small savings schemes.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even number dated 16th February, 2016 vide which the various decisions taken by the Government Regarding interest fixation for small savings schemes were communicated to all concerned.

2. On the basis of the decision of the Government, interest rates for small savings schemes are to be notified on quarterly basis. Accordingly, the rates of interest on various small savings schemes for the third quarter of financial year 2018-19 starting 1st October, 2018 and ending on 31st December, 2018, on the basis of the interest compounding/payment built-in the schemes, shall be as under:-

Subject: Revision of interest rates for Small Savings Scheme.

On the basis of the decision of the Government, interest rates for small savings schemes are notified on quarterly basis since 1st April, 2016. Accordingly, the rates of interest on various small savings schemes for the third quarter of financial year 2017-18 starting 1st October, 2017 shall remain unchanged form those notified for the second quarter of FY 2017-18.

Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) is being re-introduced to encourage people, who may have banked and unbanked savings to invest in this instrument.
