<p>Reservation in promotion or in services to women employees in Central Government services..?</p>
<p>The question has been raised by the member of Parliament Shri.Wakchaure Bhausabeb Rajaram, the concerned minister has replied that there is no proposal to give reservation to women in services or in promotion.</p>
<p>Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Shri. V. NARAYANASAMY said in the Parliament, &#8216;women are provided equal opportunity in the matter of employment under the Government. Some special facilities like maternity benefit, child care leave, child adoption leave, crèche facility for children, posting of husband and wife at the same station as far as possible, special priority in allotment of residential accommodation etc. are provided to the women employees to encourage them to join Government service. However, at present, there is no proposal to give reservation to women in services or in promotion&#8217;.</p>

<div>Whether the Government has issued any order to extend the benefit of GPF-cum- Pension Scheme to the officials of some Universities/Inter-University Centres..?</div>

<div>The below information was given by the Minister of Human Resource Development Shri.E.Ahamed as written answer for the question raised in the Parliament is given below&#8230;</div>

<div>The Central Government has extended GPF-cum-Pension scheme (for officers/staff) to six Inter University Centres (IUCs) who have joined prior to 1.1.2004 and had opted for the same.</div>
<div></div>
<div>The six IUCs are</div>
<div>(i) Inter University Consortium for Department of Atomic Energy Facility(IUC-DAEF);</div>
<div>(ii) Inter University Consortium for Astronomy and Astrophysics(IUCAA);</div>
<div>(iii) Nuclear Science Centre(NSC);</div>
<div>(iv) Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC);</div>
<div>(v) National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and</div>
<div>(vi) Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET). The expenditure on this GPF-cum-Pension Scheme shall be borne by UGC from its own funds.</div>

<div>The Central Government has approved introduction of New Pension Scheme to all regular employees joining Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) and also given option to other regular employees of NVS either to join the New Pension Scheme or to continue with the existing scheme. This scheme has been introduced with effect from 1.4.2009. However, employees who joined the NVS before the date have not accepted the scheme and have represented for coverage under CCP (Pension) Rules, 1978, but this could not be acceded to.</div>

</strong><strong>Shri Kamal Nath addresses a Press Conference on Winter Session of Parliament Commencing on 22nd November 2012</strong></p>
<div>The Winter Session, 2012 of Parliament (12th Session of Fifteenth Lok Sabha and the 227th Session of the Rajya Sabha) is scheduled to commence on Thursday, the 22nd of November, 2012 and subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session will conclude on Thursday, the 20th of December, 2012.  The Session will provide 20 sittings spread over a period of 29 days.</div>

<div>The Session will mainly be devoted to essential Government legislative and other business, including financial business relating to Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2012-13 in respect of General Budget.</div>
<div></div>
<div>To finalise the Government Business for the Winter Session, 2012, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Shri Kamal Nath held a meeting with the Secretaries/Senior Officers of the various Ministries/Departments on Friday, the 16th of November, 2012. The Ministers of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs co-chaired the meeting.  Shri Kamal Nath addressed a Press Conference on the ensuing Winter Session of Parliament in New Delhi today. He said that the Government will attempt to arrive at political consensus on the business to be transacted during the coming session of the Parliament. The following Business is likely to be taken up during the 12th Session of Fifteenth Lok Sabha and the 227th  Session of the Rajya Sabha: &#8211;</div>

In connection with the Swearing—in Ceremony of the President-elect on 25.7.2012 in the Central Hall of<br />
Parliament at 11.30 AM and traffic restrictions around Parliament House, it has been decided that the<br />
Government offices located in the buildings in and around North Block/South Block (viz. South Block, North<br />
Block, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, Rail Rhavan, Krishi Bhavan, Udyog Bhavan) and the hutments<br />
around Parliament House would remain closed for the First Half on 25th July, 2012 (Wednesday).</p>
