]]> NPS (National Pension System) News – Pending amount under NPS with Delhi Cantonment Board

94 employees joined service in Delhi Cantonment Board on or after 01.01.2004 and are covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS). However, NPS was implemented in respect of Cantonment Board employees from 01.04.2011 after obtaining approval of the Central Government. All employees have been covered under Tier-I scheme. Tier-II scheme is optional and no employee of the Board has opted for Tier-II.

The Cantonment Board has deposited the due amount of 85 employees (both employee’s and employer’s share). In the case of 9 employees who have not subscribed part of their share for the period from the date of their joining to 31.03.2011 amount to the extent subscribed along with the contribution of the employer has been deposited with the NSDL.

No loss will accrue to any employee as full amount received from them along with the contribution of employer has been deposited with NSDL.

The above information was stated in written reply to a question by the Minister of Defence Shri A.K.Antony in Rajya Sabha on 18th December 2013.

PFRDA publishes new status of subscribers of National Pension Scheme as on March, 2013
Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has published a latest status of NPS subscribers as on 2nd March 2013 on its portal. As per the status, Central Government have 11,25,871 subscribers and 22 State Government have implemented the scheme to its employees.

SUBJECT : NPS- Corporate Sector Model – Discontinuation of ‘Corporate- CG scheme.’ for new corporates joining NPS.
It has been decided, with immediate effect, to withdraw the option of Corporate- CG scheme under the NPS-Corporate Sector Model except for those corporates which have opted for it already. However, corporates / subscribers will continue to have the flexibility of choosing the investment pattern, with any PFM of their choice, wherein, if they so desires, they can align their asset mix with Govt. mandated investment pattern.

 

2. Henceforth, no further switchover to or opting of Corporate – CG scheme shall be permitted to the Corporates.

Subct: Revised list of Kow your customer (KYC) documents required fer both entry and exit under National Pension System (NPS).
Attention of all stakeholders is invited to the illustrative list of documents acceptable as proof of identity and address in terms of the KYC requirements and as provided in the offer document of National Pension System.
Basing on the revised guidelines on obligations under PMLA, 2002 as amended by Prevention of Money Laundering (Amendment) Act. 2009 and in order to bring In uniformity and align the KYC documents required for opening of accounts under NPS with those required by other financial sector institutions, it has been decided to replace the existing KYC document list with a new set of documents as provided in Annexure I for both entry and exit under National Pension System(NPS).
Annexure I referred above is being attached herewith for information and use of all The new KYC norms as per this circular will come into effect from 10/02/2013.
The above guidelines will be applicable for all variants of National Pension System.
The circular has also been placed on PFRDA website at http://ww.pfrda.org.in
