According to Notification S.O.1630(E) Dated 15th April 2021, the CENTRAL GOVERNMENT has declared every Saturday as a public holiday for Life Insurance Corporation of India, all offices of the LIC of India will have revised working hours as of 10.05.2021.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Re: Revised working hours for the employees of the Corporation

In terms of notification S.O.1630(E) dated 16.4.2021. issued by the Central Government under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. 1881 (26 of 1881). every Saturday has been declared as public holiday for Life Insurance of India with immediate effect.

In view of the above notification and the instructions of the Central Office, in this regard, the Competent Authority has approved the following revised working hours of work comprising of five full working days w.e.f 10.05.2021 for the offices of the Corporation in the jurisdictional area of Southern Zone.

Monday to Thursday

The above timings shall be effective from 10th May, 2021.

Instructions regarding Customer Zone will be issued by the Competent Authority separately.

As regards Drivers and Building Maintenance Staff such as Watchmen. Liftmen, Sweepers and Cleaners and other persons whose work inherently intermittent, instructions will be issued by the Competent Authority separately.

Offices of the Central Office in the jurisdictional area of Southern Zone shall follow the above timings.

Please bring this to the notice of all employees working under your jurisdiction & all stake holders.

These instructions super cede all other instructions issued in the matter.
