<p><strong>KVS Admission 2025-26: Key Dates Announced</strong></p>



<p>Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will begin online registration for Class I admissions for the 2025-26 academic session on <strong>March 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM</strong>. The registration window will remain open until <strong>March 21, 2025, at 10:00 PM</strong>. Admissions for <strong>Class II and above</strong> will be conducted offline, subject to vacancy availability as per the official schedule.</p>



<p><strong>KVS Admission Guidelines &amp; Schedule 2025-26</strong></p>



<p>The admission guidelines and schedule for the <strong>2025-26 academic session</strong> have been released. The <strong>maximum class size</strong> for all grades, from <strong>Balvatika to Class XII</strong>, is capped at <strong>40 students per section</strong>.</p>



<p><strong>KV Admission to Class II Onwards (2025-26)</strong></p>



<p>Vacancies for <strong>Class II and above</strong> must be <strong>posted online</strong> on the Vidyalaya website, social media (Facebook &amp; X), and the school notice board <strong>before registration begins</strong>. The <strong>Deputy Commissioner</strong> will ensure compliance through verification.</p>



<p><strong>Verification of Documents at Admission (2025-26)</strong></p>



<p>Principals must <strong>thoroughly verify</strong> all admission documents, including <strong>Date of Birth Certificate, Parent’s Service Certificate, Address Proof, Disability Certificate (if applicable), and Caste Certificate</strong>. Strict action will be taken in cases of fraudulent submissions or errors. Any discrepancies found later could lead to admission cancellations and administrative consequences.</p>



<p><strong>KVs with Balvatika Classes: Admission Process (2025-26)</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Online admissions</strong> will be conducted for <strong>Balvatika-1</strong> and <strong>Balvatika-3</strong> in KVs where these classes are operational.</li>



<li><strong>Balvatika-3 students</strong> will be <strong>automatically promoted to Class I</strong>. In such KVs, one section of Class I will be removed from the online admission process.</li>



<li>Any vacancies in this section will be filled from the <strong>waitlist</strong> based on the <strong>online draw of lots</strong> and priority category.</li>



<li>In <strong>single-section KVs</strong>, <strong>Class I admissions will not be online</strong>. Instead, any vacancies will be filled <strong>offline</strong> as per the Class II and above admission schedule.</li>
</ul>



<p>In KVs where Balvatika-1, 2, and 3 are operational, all regulations pertaining to Class I admissions will apply to Balvatika-1. For Balvatika-2 and 3, the regulations for admissions from Class II onwards will be in effect. Fresh admissions in these classes will only be permitted if the class size is below 40.</p>



<p>In KVs where only Balvatika-3 is operational, all Class I admission regulations applicable to KVs will also be relevant for Balvatika-3.</p>



<p><strong>Other Important Points for KV Admission (2025-26)</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Admissions for <strong>priority categories I-IV (Civil/Defence KVs)</strong> and <strong>I-V (Project/IHL KVs)</strong> at the <strong>retirement location</strong> of parents will follow <strong>KVS Admission Guidelines (Part A, 7(A)(i))</strong>.</li>



<li><strong>Transfers to another KV</strong> in the same academic year <strong>will not be allowed</strong>, except in cases of government employee transfers or relocation to government housing.</li>



<li><strong>Regular classes</strong> for <strong>Balvatika and Class I</strong> will begin on <strong>April 1, 2025</strong>. Further details on <strong>Online Admissions</strong> will be shared separately.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Two new KVs opened, one each in Karnataka and Punjab; announces Union Education Minister</strong></p>



<p class="has-text-align-right">04 MAR 2021</p>



<p>Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the <strong>opening of two new Kendriya Vidyalayas, one each in the state of Karnataka and Punjab. KV Sadalaga, Belagavi, Karnataka, and KV IIT Ropar, Punjab will be two new addition to the family of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. With this,</strong> the total number of KVs across the Country will raise to 1247.</p>



<p>Initially these two Vidyalayas will function with classes I to V and thereafter grow consequentially upto class XII. When these Vidyalayas start functioning in full capacity, around 1000 students of the area will be benefited in each school.&nbsp;<strong>The Admission process in both the Vidyalayas will start in the academic session 2021-22.</strong></p>



<p>KV Sadalagais a Civil sector Vidyalaya and will start functioning in the building provided by the State Government till the construction of new building.</p>

<p>KV IIT Ropar will start functioning in its own building provided by the Institute.</p>



<p>KV Sadalagais in the Chikkodi Parliamentary constituency (district Belagavi) of Karnataka, while KV IIT Ropar is in Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary Constituency (district Roopnagar) of Punjab.</p>



<p>From 20 schools in the year of establishment-1963, KVS now has 1247 schools in the year 2020-21 including 3 KVs abroad viz. Moscow, Kathmandu, Tehran. Total enrolment of students as on date is 1393668.</p>

<p>Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country have resumed face-to-face teachings for various classes as per the guidelines issued by the MHA and State Governments. <a href="https://centralgovernmentnews.com/category/kv-school/">KVs</a> started opening from the month of October in a phased manner.</p>



<h3 class="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading"><strong><a href="https://centralgovernmentnews.com/list-of-kendriya-vidyalaya-schools-in-india/">Latest List of Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools in India</a></strong></h3>



<p>According to the data compiled on February 11, 2021, from all the KVs, an average of 42% Students of Class 9, 65% Students of Class 10, 48% Students of Class 11, and 67% Students of Class 12 are physically attending classes all over the Country. These figures are dynamic and trends indicate a consistent increase every day. Face-to-face classes for class 1 to 8 have also been started in some KVs where State Governments have permitted to open Schools for junior grades.</p>



<h3 class="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading"><a href="https://centralgovernmentnews.com/kendriya-vidyalaya-admission-2021-2022/">Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2021-2022</a></h3>



<p>Regular contact with the Parents and Guardians is being established by the Schools in case of any apprehension from students/ parents. Students are being permitted with the prior consent of their guardians.</p>

<p>The SOPs issued by the State and Central Governments are being followed completely in view of the Corona Pandemic. All KVs are clearly advised to follow staggered timings for the students of various classes and ensure adequate safety measures including maintenance of proper physical distance in the classrooms.</p>

<p>Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:<br />(a) whether the Government proposes to construct <a href="https://centralgovernmentnews.com/category/kv-school/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kendriya Vidyalayas</a> (KV) in the Khalari, Silli and Chandil of Ranchi parliamentary constituency;<br />(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;<br />(c) the reasons for the non-existence of a Kendriya Vidyalayas in these area of Jharkhand;<br />(d) the details of the steps taken by the Government to improve the educational infrastructure and facilities at schools and colleges in Jharkhand specially in Ranchi Lok Sabha Constituency;<br />(e) the list of KV schools currently in operation and proposed to be built, State-wise including Jharkhand;and<br />(f) the measures taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to improve the quality of education provided in public schools?</p>

<p>a) to c): Proposals for opening of new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are considered only if sponsored by the Ministries or Departments of the Government of India/State Governments/UT Administrations in the prescribed proforma, thereby committing resources for setting up the KV, as well as on availability of sanction of the Government. Proposals fulfilling the pre-requisites as per the norms of KVS are processed further for approval of the Competent Authority. No proposal has so far been received in the prescribed proforma from the State Government of Jharkhand for opening of new KVs at Khalari, Silli and Chandil of Ranchi Parliamentary constituency.</p>



<p>d): Government has taken various steps to improve the educational infrastructure and facilities in schools and colleges in the country including Jharkhand as per the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act and has specified certain essential norms and standards for educational institutions. These norms include norms for number of teachers (Pupil Teacher ratio), minimum number of working hours, teaching learning equipment, library, play material, games and sports equipment, school organization as well as infrastructure. Support for these provisions is provided under the integrated Samagra Shiksha Centrally Sponsored Scheme.<br />Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), central support has been approved for 13 institutions in Ranchi under various components of the scheme namely infrastructure grants to colleges/ universities, upgradation of existing Degree college to Model Degree College, enhancing quality and excellence in select autonomous colleges and creation of universities by way of upgradation of existing autonomous colleges. Out of the total approval of Rs.104 crore, the central share is Rs.62.4 crore and Rs.51.72 crore has been released as central share to 13 institutions in Ranchi district.</p>

<p>e): State-wise list of KVs currently in operation is at including in Jharkhand is at Annexure – A and State-wise list of KVs functioning from temporary buildings and proposed to be built is at Annexure &#8211; B.</p>



<p>f): The Central Government has taken several steps to improve the quality of education in the schools which inter alia include the following:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>In order to focus on ensuring competencies, the Central rules to the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 have been amended to include reference on class-wise, subject-wise Learning Outcomes, which have, accordingly, been finalized and shared with all States and UTs;</li><li>Under Samagra Shiksha, funds are given to all States and UTs for strengthening of infrastructure and provision of other facilities in schools to ensure that all schools meet the prescribed norms, besides other interventions to improve the quality of education such as training of in-service teachers, remedial teaching for academically weaker students, library grants to schools, ICT and digital initiatives;</li><li>Approval has been given for conducting a Census based audit of school infrastructure called Shagunotsav of all Government and Government aided schools in all States and UTs;</li><li>A performance Grading Index (PGI) has been designed to grade the States and UTs on a matrix based on 70 indicators;</li><li>Approval has been accorded for National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA), an Integrated Teacher Training Programme to train 42 lakh teachers and other functionaries to make classrooms learner-friendly and improving children’s competencies in critical thinking, problem solving, creativity as well as social qualities such as cooperation, team work etc.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Subject: Preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID‐19 ‐ regarding</strong></p>



<p>It has been informed that Sh. Jagmohan Bisht, ASO and Ms. Pooja Soni, ASO posted in RPS Section in Room No. 313, KVS (HQ) have been tested positive with COVID‐19 on 05‐09‐2020, wholast attended office on 04‐09‐2020.</p>



<p>The <strong><a href="https://centralgovernmentnews.com/tag/covid-19/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">COVID‐19</a></strong> GoI guidelines provides that contacts are persons who have been exposed to a confirmed case anytime between 2 days prior to onset of symptoms (in the positive case) and the date of isolation OR 14 days after the onset of symptoms.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>High‐risk Contact</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Anyone within 1 meter of the confirmed case without precautions i.e. without mask.</li><li>Employees who shared the same space (working in same room) within 1 meter with a person who later tested positive.</li><li>Travelled together within 1 meter in a vehicle for more than 6 hours with a person who later tested positive.</li></ul>



<p><strong>The high‐risk contacts shall be quarantined for 14 days and shall undergo testing.</strong></p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Low‐risk Contact</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Shared the same space (worked in same room) but not having a high‐risk exposure to confirmed case of COVID‐19.</li><li>Travelled together but not having a high‐risk exposure (i.e. not within 1 meter for more than 6 hours to symptomatic person who later tested positive)</li></ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The low‐risk exposure contacts shall continue to work and closely monitor their health for next 14 days.</strong></h3>



<p><strong>The high‐risk contacts are advised</strong>&nbsp;to get themselves home quarantined for 14 days from the date of contact with the employees who tested positive. For example, if Mr./Ms. A came in contact with the affected person on 04‐09‐2020, he/she shall be on self‐quarantine for 14 days w.e.f. 05‐09‐2020 to 18‐09‐2020 under intimation to their controlling officer. They are also directed to consult medical authorities and undergo testing.</p>



<p>RPS Section will remain closed on 7th September, 2020 for sanitization purposes.</p>

<p>Madam / Sir,</p>



<p>The KVS HQ is receiving lot of queries regarding collection of fee of class XI students promoted from class X after declaration of result by CBSE. In this regard, it is to inform you that since the collection of fee for the 2nd Quarter is currently going on hence the data cannot be edited/ verified for class XI students in respect of existing students. To facilitate collection of fee from class XI students it is decided to open the UBI fee portal for verification of class XI student data w.e.f  06.08.2020. The process of verification in respect of class XI students should he completed by 13.08.2020. It is relevant to inform you that since as of now data for rt Quarter can only he verified in respect of class XI students, the said data for the 3rd Quarter will be replicated for the last two quarters (1st and 2nd) for collection of fee by KVS HQ.</p>

<p>The fee collection for class XI will commence from 15.08.2020 to 31.08.2020 without any late payment fee. The Regional Offices are also directed to send the consolidated list of all students of class XI along with ‘Student Code’ after verification to this office at ‘kvsdcfinance@gmail.com’. Thereafter, UBI portal will be opened for verification of data for the 3rd quarter in respect of all classes.</p>



<p>The content of this letter may be circulated to all Principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas and other stake holders.</p>



<p>This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.</p>



<p>Note:  The data only in respect of class XI students promoted from class X should be verified during aforementioned dates.</p>

<p><strong>Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has recently released the official admission guidelines for the academic session 2020-21</strong></p>



<p>The admission schedule in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for Class 1 to 11th KVS admission 2020-2021 has been also released now.</p>



<p>The KV online registration for class 1 has been started from July 20 at 10 AM at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Now all interested students and parents can fill KVS admission registration forms at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Every year, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan issues notification to take admission in Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 &amp; 11 in the various schools spread across the country as its fixed schedule.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">A. SCHEDULED CASTE, SCHEDULED TRIBE AND OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES CATEGORY</h4>



<p>15% seats for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes and 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) shall be reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">B. DIFFERENTLY ABLED CATEGORY</h4>



<p>3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for Differently Abled-children as per the provisions of RTE Act, 2009. Read in conjunction with Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">ADMISSION OF WARDS OF ARMED / PARA MILITARY FORCES</h4>



<p>Automatic admission of children in the Kendriya Vidyalayas on the basis of transfer certificate issued by the CBSE affiliated schools run by Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy) and Para Military Forces i.e. CRPF/BSF/ ITBP/SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal)/ CISF/NSG and Assam Rifles will be entertained only if the parent has been transferred to that place or has desired to settle at the place after his retirement, or transferred to some non-family station or posted in Naxal affected areas and choose to keep the family elsewhere.</p>



<p>This provision shall be applicable to schools run by Indian Coast Guard also. This provision may also be extended to the children of government employees studying in schools run by ISRO/AEES (Atomic Energy Education Society).</p>



<p>It is clarified that above provisions are only for the wards of Defence personnel / Para Military Forces i.e. CRPF/BSF /ITBP/SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal)/ CISF/NSG and Assam Rifles viz. sons &amp; daughters only. This will not include the grand children of Defence personnel. Provisions of KVS admission guidelines including the eligibility criteria for age and marks/Grades will be followed in letter and spirit. Also, the fee including VVN is to be paid from the month of admission of the child in the Kendriya Vidyalaya regardless of the fact that the fee for succeeding months have already been paid in the school from which TC has been issued for admission to KV. TCs issued by the CBSE affiliated schools of Defence Ministry/Deptts/Authority will be endorsed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner of the region where admission is sought.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">ADMISSION OF PRE-PRIMARY STUDENTS IN CLASS-I</h4>



<p>The policy of automatic admission of pre-primary students in Class-I has been withdrawn w.e.f. session 2008-09. Now all admissions in Class-I shall be treated as fresh admissions and shall be dealt with as per rules in vogue.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">CHILDREN WHO WERE EARLIER STUDYING IN KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA:</h4>



<p>Children who were earlier studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya but due to(a) transfer of parent or (b) relocation due to exigency caused by posting of parent to field area was compelled to study in a school other than Kendriya Vidyalaya because no KV was available at that station, if the said parent subsequently gets transferred to a place where a Kendriya Vidyalaya exists, his/her child be considered for admission, consequent upon the transfer/ movement of the parent subsequently to a place where a Kendriya Vidyalaya exists, over and above the class strength. A proof to this effect has to be provided by the parent.</p>
