ADMISSION QUOTA IN KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS

2187. SHRIMATI SUNITA DUGGAL:

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:

(a) the list of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country, State-wise;

(b) the details of the various quota available for the candidates to take admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas;

(c) the time by which KVS, Badopal (Haryana) is likely to shift into its new building as it is running in Government primary school building since its inception;

(d) whether the Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Haryana for the opening of a new KV and if so, the details thereof?

ANSWER

(a) As present, 1242 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are functioning in the country. State/UT wise details are annexed.

(b) As per the norms, 15% for SCs, 7.5% for STs and 27% for OBCs quotas are available in admission in class-I. 3% horizontal reservation quota has also been provided to differently abled candidates. As per Right to Education Act Provisions, initially 25% of available seats in class-I are filled by draw of lots from all applications of SC/ ST / EWS/ BPL/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) who are the resident of Neighborhood / Differently abled taken together.

(c) Construction of permanent buildings for KVs is a continuous process, which depends upon identification of suitable land, completion of lease formalities in favour of KVS by the sponsoring authorities, submission of drawings / estimates by construction agency, availability of funds and requisite approvals etc. As such, no definite time frame can be given in this regard.

(d) KVS has informed that no proposal in the prescribed proforma has been received from the State Government of Haryana for the opening of new KVs.

KV Admission Class-1: Date and Time for Admission

Around 1240 Kendriay Vidyalaya Schools across the country conducted Lottery (Draw of lots) on 26th March, 2019 for fresh admission in Class-1.

The list of selected students of all categories has been uploaded in the respective school websites on the day itself. And further announcement has been made to candidates to join for admission with proper documents. Both the parents to accompany the child at the time of Admission.

Selected candidates are requested to come to respective school with original documents with their parents for document verification on 28th March, 2019. And the date of admission for class-1 is slightly very between the schools, so please confirm with your school administration for admission date.

As per the list of provisionally selected candidates are advised to come for admission to Class 1 with original and photocopy documents.

Documents (original and photocopy) to be brought compulsorily at the time of admission

1. Passport size photograph
2. Printed copy of the online application submitted
3. Date of birth certificate
4. community certificate (SC/ST/OBC) whatever applicable.
5. Certificate for EWS/BPL if applicable.
6. Proof of residence (Ration Card/ Post Paid/Land telephone bill/ Gas Bill/Voter ID/Passport).
7. Adhar Card of the child.
8. Service certificate of the parent with the proof of transfers.
9. Affidavit for Single Girl Child.
10. Fee Details Rupees -1525 /-(VVN-1500 + Admission Fee 25)

Both the parents to accompany the child at the time of Admission.

Note- All the admissions are subject to verification of the documents.
Fees to be paid within three days in the online through bank after entry by class teacher in the UBI web portal.

Admission Fee – Rs.25
VVN Fees 1st Qtr (April to Jun 2018) – Rs.1500
Total – Rs.1525

Note: Students considered under RTE whose parents do not get reimbursement from the department in which they are working need not pay any fees.

KV School Admission Process for Class – 1

KV School Admission 2019-20 Schedule Dates

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has announced the schedule dates for Admission Process for Class – 1 for the academic year 2019-20. The Online Registration for Class-1 Process will begin by 1st March, 2019 through official portal of KV Sangathan.

The official advertisement for admission in all KV Schools will be published by the last week of this month and Guidelines for Online registration also published by the KVS.

Online Registration for Class-1: The process is scheduled to start from 1.3.2019 (8.00 A.M) to 19-03-2019 (4.00 P.M.).

The first provisional selection list for Class-1 is scheduled to publish on 26th March, 2019. And the second selection list will be published on 9.4.2019 and third list, if seats remain vacant will publish on 23.4.2019.

RTE Privision: The extended date for Second Notification for admissions to be made under RTE Provisions for Class-1.

Notification on 30.3.2019
Registration: 30.3.2019 to 6.4.2019
Admission: 8.4.2019 to 15.4.2019.

In case sufficient number of registrations for SC/ST not received in 1st Phase, second notification may be issued.

Registration for Class-II onwards (except Class XI)-Subject to availability of vacancies in a particular class: 2-4-2019 From 8:00 A.M. to 9.4.2019 Till 4.00 P.M Note: During school hrs.

Declaration of list of class II onwards: 12-4-2019

Admission for class II onwards. 12-4-2019 to 20-4-2019

Last date for admission except Class XI: 30-4-2019

For KV students: Registration for admission in class XI: Within 10 days after declaration of Board results.

KV students: Display of admission list & admissions for Class-XI.
Within 20 days after declaration of Board results.

Non-KV students: Registration, display of admission list & admissions in class XI (Subject to availability of vacancies): After the admissions of KV students in class XI.

Last date of Admission for class XI.: 1/7/19

Online Registration for Admission to Class I in Kendriya Vidyalaya for the Academic Year 2018-19 will commence from 01.03.2018 at 8:00 AM to 19.03.2013 upto 4:00 PM and for Class II and above from 02.04.2018 at 8:00 AM to 09.04.2018 upto 4:00 PM. Registration for Class II and above except Class XI will be done only if Vacancies exist. For Class XI, application forms will be issued immediately after the declaration of Class X results, subject to availability of Vacancies in the Vidyalayas.

The Admission Schedule for the Session 2017-18 will be as under:-

Note:

1. Admission under Special Provisions (Part B) (Single girl child, Grand son/grand daughters of KVS retired employees etc.) will be offline. In this regard please contact Principal of concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya.

2. List of children registered, list of eligible children, category-wise list of provisionally selected children, waiting list and subsequent lists to be compulsorily displayed on the web-site of the Kendriya Vidyalayas concerned, in addition to display on School’s Notice Board.

3. If any of the dates happens to be a public holiday the next working day shall be treated as opening/closing date.

KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN – GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION IN KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS

PART- A

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. In supersession of all the guidelines governing admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas that have been issued in the past, the following guidelines are issued to regulate admissions in the Kendriya Vidyalayas with effect from the academic session 2017-18. These guidelines are not applicable to Kendriya Vidyalayas located abroad.

2. DEFINITIONS

Unless the context suggests otherwise, the definition of the following terms used in these guidelines would be as below:-

(i) CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES: An employee who draws his emoluments from the consolidated fund of India.

(ii) TRANSFERABLE: An employee who has been transferred at least once in the preceding 7 years shall be deemed to be transferable.

(iii) TRANSFER: An employee would be treated as transferred only if he/she has been transferred by the competent authority from one place/urban agglomeration to another place/urban agglomeration which is at a distance of at least 20 kms. and minimum period of stay at a place should be six months.

(iv) AUTONOMOUS BODIES / PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS: Organizations which are fully financed by the government or where the government share is more than 51 per cent would be deemed to be autonomous bodies/ public sector undertakings.

(v) SINGLE GIRL CHILD: Single Girl Child means the only child i.e. only girl child to the parents, with no other siblings.

This office has beer issuing admission orders under MP quota and the process is still going on. The admission orders issued are also being uploaded on daily basis on KVS website. In this connection, you are requested to instruct all the Principals under your jurisdiction to accord admission to children under this quota only after verifying the same from KVS website. If the names are not found on the KVS website the same may be verified from this Office by contacting the undersigned or Sh. Y.Arun Kumar, Assistant Commissioner over phone.

OFFICE ORDER

Approval of the Honble HRM-cum-Chairmar, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is hereby conveyed for the conversion of Kendriya Vidyalaya, SPG, Dwarka, New Delhi from Civil Sector to Project Sector with effect from 01.04.2014 on the request of the Sponsoring Authority.

The sponsor i.e. Special Protection Group. New Delhi will be responsible to provide:

1. Permanent Vidyalaya building as per specification of the KVS.

2. 100% staff quarters to all the staff of the Kendriya Vidyalaya.

3. All recurring & non-recurring expenditure including proportionate over-head charges and future development expenditure.

The sponsor shall remit the budgeted amount of recurring/Non-recurring expenditure in advance instalments to the Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Delhi Region i.e. first instaIlment in the month of April and second in the month of October for each financial year.

In case the sponsor fails to fulfill their commitment as agreed to, the Commissioner, KVS is empowered to reduce the number of classes/sections and also direct the closure of Kendriya Vidyalaya by giving due notice to the sponsor.

The admission to the Kendriya Vidyalaya will be as per the priorities/rules prescribed by the KVS under Project Sector.
