<li>In this context, as per instructions contained in OM No. 40-58/78-Pen, dated the 25th April, 1981, only unauthorized absence/leave without the approval of the engaging authority constitutes break in engagement of a GDS, unless regularized by the competent authority. The LWA is an authorized kind of leave.</li>
