Employment News – Latest vacancy position in Railways – Report on Zonal wise as on 1.4.2013 – Total vacancies 1,311,959

The Minister of State for Railways Shri.Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said in a statement in the Parliament on 13th December 2013 that the filling up of vacancies is a continuous process and there is always a lag between occurrence of vacancies and processing the same for filling up which involves issue of notification, holding examination, finalization of select panels and issue of appointment letters.

The total number of employees as on 1.4.2013 is 1311959*, of which SC employees is 219682*, ST employees is 94,879* and Persons with disability is 8814*.

The number of fresh face substitutes engaged directly by the General Managers in various Railway Zones in last 3 years is 1784.  General Managers on Zonal Railways have been authorized by the Ministry of Railways to engage Substitutes in exigencies of services against vacancies to the extent of 10% in Safety Category and 2% in Other Categories, in order to avoid Railway Services getting adversely affected.

NOTICE

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is receiving requests from the candidates regarding change of examination centres or change of date of examination for the teaching and misc. teaching posts. In this regard, KVS has clearly indicated in the DOWNLOAD OPTION UNDER EMPLOYMENT NOTICE/ADMIT CARD that REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF TEST CENTRE/VENUE WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

Regarding change of date of examination it is informed that the written examination for recruitment is being conducted at All India level and all arrangements have been made. As such it is not possible to change the date of examination.

The candidates of Persons with Disability category are informed that the KVS will provide them the scribe if they require. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination for persons who are making use of scribe will be given.

RECRUITMENT OF SEMI SKILLED TRADESMEN FOR ORDNANCE FACTORY AMBARNATH
SCHEDULE FOR DOWNLOADING ADMIT CARD & EXAMINATION

1. Date of commencement of downloading Admit card : 5th Dec, 2013

(Can be downloaded using the login available on the webpage at address stated below)

2. Date of written examination: Employment News – Ordnance Factory, Ambarnath publishes notice for Admit Card schedule and exam schedule for recruitment of Tradesmen (ss).

3. Duration of the written examination: 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs

(Candidates must report at their examination centres stated In the Admit Cords by 0900 hrs to enable verification of identity and to get seated well in time)
