<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY OF PERMANENTLY DISABLED UNMARRIED SON OF A ECHS BENEFICIARY TO AVAIL ECHS FACILITY</strong></p>
<p>1. &#8220;The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill &#8211; 2016&#8221; has been revised, which will replace the existing PWD Act &#8211; 1995. The permanent disabilities have been increased from existing 7 to 21.</p>
<p>2. In consonance with spirit of Indian Army wherein the year 2018 has been declared &#8220;Year of Disability in line of Duty&#8221; MoD (DoESW) has approved applicability of PWD Act 2016 wef 18 Sep 2018 vide their ID No 18(77)/2017/WE/D(Res-I) dated 18 Sep 2018 wherein sons suffering from following disabilities :-</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>(a) Blindness.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(b) Low-vision.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(c) Leprosy Cured persons.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(d) Hearing Impairment (deaf and hard of hearing).</strong></p>
<p><strong>(e) Locomotor Disability.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(f) Dwarfism.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(g) Intellectual Disability.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(h) Mental Illness.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(j) Autism Spectrum Disorder.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(k) Cerebral Palsy.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(l) Muscular Dystrophy.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(m) Chronic Neurological conditions.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(n) Specific Learning Disabilities.</strong></p>
<p><strong>(o) Multiple Sclerosis</strong></p>
<p><strong>(p) Speech and Language Disability</strong></p>
