Subject: Experience the ease and convenience of accessing NPS Statement of Transactions through DigiLocker-reg

DigiLocker is a digital platform that provides a shareable & secure private cloud based digital space, allowing one to access all their personal documents and certificates in one place. With nearly 16.50 crore registered users and 5.62 billion issued documents under various categories, DigiLocker is a key initiative under the Government of India’s flagship program, Digital India. The number of NPS Subscribers who have availed various services through DigiLocker is approx. 5 Lacs.

2. Central Record Keeping Agencies (CRAs) of PFRDA have become DigiLocker Partner Organizations to provide Subscriber Centric online Services indicated vide Circular PFRDA/ 2022/ 16/SUP CRA/4 dated 27th July 2022 and PFRDA/2022/ 30/SUP -CRA/11 dated 19th Oct 2022.

3. PFRDA is pleased to inform that the NPS subscribers will be able to download their NPS Account Transaction Statement to DigiLocker for easy access and view their pension wealth. Statement can be downloaded for Tier I and Tier II both.

4. The following services have been made available by the respective CRAs through DigiLocker Account –

• Protean e-Governance Technologies CRA (PCRA) – Subscribers of the CRA can view their e-PRAN card & Account Statement. Subscribers can also update the existing address using Driving License through DigiLocker. The prospective subscribers canalso open NPS account through Aadhaar – DigiLocker integration as well as through Driving License.
• KFin Technologies CRA (KCRA) – Subscribers of the CRA can view their e-PRAN card & Account Statement. Subscribers can also update the existing address using Aadhaar through DigiLocker. The prospective subscribers can also open NPS account through Aadhaar – DigiLocker integration.
• Computer Age Management Services CRA (CCRA) – Subscribers of the CRA can view their e-PRAN card. Subscribers can also update the existing address using Aadhaar through DigiLocker. Prospective subscribers of CCRA can open NPS account through Aadhaar – DigiLocker integration.

Refer the Annexure for details regarding the services offered through DigiLocker and process of accessing Statement of Account.

5. Subscribers can download the e-PRAN and Account Statement by searching for PFRDA in DigiLocker and providing the details of PRAN, DoB and Consent which is a one-time activity.

PFRDA believes that accessing NPS Account Transaction Statement through DigiLocker will provide one with greater ease and convenience.

Subject: Storage of CGHS Card on DigiLocker platform for its access and use for CGHS Services

Central Government Health Scheme, in alignment with its vision of being the first choice in providing quality healthcare services and ensuring holistic well-being across clients entire life span, has found it imperative to adopt new technology and innovations in the delivery of quality healthcare.

In continuation of the these measures, it has now been decided to provide an option to store CGHS Card in DigiLocker. DigiLocker is a secure cloud based platform for storage, sharing and verification of government issued documents & certificates. It is available as a mobile application for both Android and iOS devices. Through DigiLocker Platform a CGHS beneficiary would be able to download his/her CGHS card on the mobile device.

The downloaded CGHS card shall be equivalent to the original CGHS card as per the provisions of Rule 9A of the Information Technology Rules, 2016, notified on February 8, 2017 via G.S.R. 714(E).

CGHS beneficiaries would need to download the DigiLocker App and login using their Aadhar and mobile number. A beneficiary can access only his own CGHS card at a time. In case his mobile number linked with his Aadhar is also linked with his dependent(s) Aadhar, then he will be able to access his dependents CGHS card too, only after fresh login to DigiLocker.

Beneficiaries would need to follow these steps while Registering on the DigiLocker
Application and downloading the CGHS Card

• Download DigiLocker Application either from Playstore or Apple store
• Login through Aadhaar or Mobile Number and set 6 digits Security PIN
• Enter OTP received in the registered mobile number (Mobile number must be linked with
• Aadhaar Card.
• Digilocker Home Page will open; search for CGHS at Central Government or Health
• Section
• Click on CGHS icon , and then click on lD card icon
• Enter Beneficiary lD and click on ‘Get Document
• Click on ID card link, CGHS Card will open

The CGHS Card so available within the Digilocker Application can be used where
Original CGHS Card is required, for all intent and purposes.

STEPS TO FETCH CGHS ID IN DIGILOCKER

Step 1: Download DigiLocker Application either from Playstore or Appstore
Step 2: Login through Aadhaar or Mobile Number and set 6 digits Security PIN
Step 3: Enter OTP received at your registered mobile number
Step 4: DigiLocker Home Page will open; search for CGHS at Central Government or Health Section
Step 5: Click on CGHS icon
Step 6: Click on ID card icon
Step 7: Enter Beneficiary ID and click on ‘Get Document’
Step 8: CGHS card will be fetched and stored in Issued Document Section
Step 9: Click on ID card link, CGHS Card will open

India Post launches e-PLI bond/ digital version of PLI policy bonds on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav occasion

Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, launched the digital version of the Postal Life Insurance policy bonds, also termed as “ePLI bond”, on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in an event here today. 12 October is celebrated as the Postal Life Insurance Day in the week-long Postal week festival. Shri Vineet Pandey, Secretary, Department of Posts, Shri Alok Sharma, DG, Department of Posts, Smt Sandhya Rani, Member PLI, Smt Manju Kumar, Chief General Manager PLI and Abhishek Singh, President & CEO (Additional Charge), National e-Governance Division (NeGD) attended the event.

While inaugurating the “ePLI bond” Secretary Posts Shri Vineet Pandey stated that ePLI bond is the Department of Posts’ first digital integration with Digilocker which will greatly facilitate citizens in a meaningful way by providing ease of access and quick claim settlements.

ePLI bond is made available in collaboration with DIGILOCKER, National eGovernance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) Government of India. ​​DigiLocker has been providing a secure cloud-based platform for storage, sharing and verification of documents & certificates for various organisations.

By securely logging in to the Digilocker, the user can download the digital copy of the Policy bond on their mobile phone. Both the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) as well as the Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) policy bonds are available in the ‘electronic form’. ePLI policy bonds having a digital signature is valid proof as per the Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation and Retention of Information by Intermediaries Providing Digital Locker Facilities) Rules, 2016 notified on February 8, 2017, vide G.S.R. 711(E). It shall be treated at par with the original policy bond issued by the Department of Posts for processing all types of Financial & Non-financial requests related to PLI/RPLI.

If the user is holding multiple Postal & Rural Postal Life Insurance Policies like Endowment Assurance, Anticipated Endowment Assurance, Whole Life Assurance, Convertible Whole Life Assurance, Child Policy, Yugal Suraksha (in PLI) & Gram Priya (in RPLI), all of the policies can be downloaded immediately after the issue of the policy bond by the Department of Posts. The policyholder of PLI need not wait for the delivery of the physical copy of the PLI policy bond. This facility is available for all new and old policyholders.

The policyholder will get the benefit of presenting the digital copy during the maturity settlement at the Post office from the digilocker mobile app’s issued section. The digital copy will be treated as a valid policy document by the Postal Department. Similarly, the policyholder can use the ePLI Bond as proof, for effecting any changes that are required in the policy document like address change, nomination e.t.c without the hassle of carrying the physical copy.

The secured server authentication, embedded digital signature and encrypted QR code are some of the unique mechanisms developed by the Department of Posts to bring much needed digital transformation in the Insurance Sector of India Post. It will not only reduce the administrative overhead but also provide secure real-time verification of documents.

The Department of Posts aims to reduce the turn-around time for citizens for claim and maturity cases. As an adjunct to the above citizen-friendly feature, various other administrative mechanisms are also being put into place for hassle-free and time-bound settlements of Postal Life Insurance claims.

Sub: Provision of downloading digital copy of Pension Payment Order (PPO) from Digilocker- reg.

Madam /Sir,

With reference to the context cited above, EPFO has collaborated with NISD and has made available the digital version of the Pension Payment Order (PPO) for the Pensioners of Employees’ Pension Scheme at Digilocker Portal for the benefit of the Stakeholders. By collaborating with NISD, EPFO seeks to improve its service delivery by creating a digital highway that can facilitate exchange of digitally signed documents amongst the issuers, citizens and the other Government service providers. The PPO issued by EPFO to the EPS pensioners has been made available at Digilocker Portal in shape of a Digital Certificate which any concerned EPS Pensioners can download by registering on Digilocker.
