Subject: Implementation of recommendation of the Seventh Central Pay Commission on Dress Allowance – regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the MoD ID No. 18/3/2008/D(Civ-II) dated 20.10.2017 and DoP&T OM No. 14/4/2015-JCA2 dated 31.08.2017 on the above referred subject.

2. The common categories of Defence Civilian employees (Gp ‘C’ and ‘D’) who have been granted Dress Allowance as per their eligibility and who are about to relinquish service by superannuation /retirement, are subject to recovery of the same, which will be regulated in the following manner:

3. No recovery of Dress Allowance is to be made in case of death of the Defence Civilian employees or his/her invalidation through causes beyond his /her control.

4. These orders will take effect from the date of issue of this letter.

5. This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Defence (Finance) vide their ID No. I20/2/2016.AG/PB dated 12.03.2021.
