<p><strong>Dearness Relief payable to Pensioners for the period February 2022 to July 2022</strong></p>



<p>The confirmed All India Average Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (Base 1960=100) for the quarter ended December 2021 are as follows:-</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>October 2021 – 8210.75</strong></li><li><strong>November 2021 – 8263.34</strong></li><li><strong>December 2021 – 8243.62</strong></li></ul>



<p>In terms of Regulation 37 of Bank Employees’ Pension Regulations, 1995 Dearness Relief is payable to pensioners at rates specified in Appendix II to the Regulations.</p>



<p>Pending amendments to Pension Regulations, Banks may pay on ad hoc basis, the Dearness Relief payable to pensioners for the period February 2022 to July 2022 as per Annexure.</p>

<p>Subject: <strong>Revised rates of Dearness Relief to Haryana Government pensioners and family pensioners w.e.f. 1st July 2021</strong></p>



<p><strong>The Governor of Haryana is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief payable to Haryana Government pensioners and family pensioners shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 17% to 28% of the basic pay with effect from 1st July 2021.</strong></p>



<ol class="wp-block-list" start="2"><li>The increase subsumes the additional instalments arising on 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021. The rate of Dearness Relief for the period from 01 .01.2020 till 30.06.2021 shall remain at 17%. The payment on account of Dearness Relief involving fractions of 50 paise and above may be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fractions of less than 50 paise may be ignored. All other conditions for payment of Dearness Relief to pensioners &amp; Family Pensioners on revised Pension &amp; Family pension contained in FD&#8217;s instructions No.2/23/ 2016-1 pension dated 3rd March , 2017 shall be applicable.</li><li>This is in continuation of Finance Department&#8217;s earlier instructions No.4/1/2009-5FR(FD)/8101 dated 6th July, 2020, vide which instalments of Dearness Relief to Haryana Government pensioners and family pensioners due from 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021, were frozen.</li><li>Copy of this order may be downloaded from the official website of the Finance Department i.e. www.finhry.gov.in.</li></ol>

<p>In pursuance of the decision of the Cabinet on 14.07.2021, Department of Pension &amp; Pensioners’ Welfare has issued orders on 22.07.2021 for increasing the Dearness Relief to pensioners and family pensioners of the Central Government (including pensioners/ family pensioners of Armed Forces, All India Services and Railways) with effect from 01.07.2021 to 28% of the basic pension/family pension (including additional pension/family pension), representing an increase of 11% over the existing rate of 17%.</p>

<p>In view of the unprecedented situation which arose due to COVID-19 pandemic, three additional instalments of Dearness Relief to pensioners, which were due from 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021, had been frozen.</p>



<p>Now, the Government has issued orders to increase the Dearness Relief to pensioners/family pensioners with effect from 01.07.2021 to 28% of the basic pension/family pension. The increase subsumes the additional instalments arising on 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021. The rate of Dearness Relief for the period 01.01.2020 to 30.06.2021 shall remain at 17% of basic pension/family pension.</p>
