<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sub:- Grant of Dearness Relief in the 5th CPC series effective from 01.07.2022 to CPF beneficiaries in receipt of basic ex-gratia payment-reg</h3>



<p>The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even no. dated 11.05.2022 and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief admissible to the CPF beneficiaries in receipt of basic ex-gratia payment in the 5th CPC series shall be enhanced w.e.f&nbsp;<strong>01.07.2022</strong>&nbsp;in the following manner :-</p>



<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985, and are entitled to basic ex-gratia @ Rs.3000, Rs.1000, Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June,2013 vide OM No. 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd. 27th June, 2013 shall now be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from&nbsp;<strong>381%</strong>&nbsp;of the basic ex-gratia to&nbsp;<strong>396%</strong>&nbsp;of the basic ex-gratia&nbsp;<strong>w.e.f 01.07.2022.</strong></p>



<p>(ii) The following categories of CPF beneficiaries shall be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from&nbsp;<strong>373%</strong>&nbsp;of the basic ex-gratia to&nbsp;<strong>388%</strong>&nbsp;of the basic ex-gratia w.e.f 01.07.2022:-</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>(a) The widows and eligible dependent children of the deceased CPF beneficiary who had retired from service prior to 01.01.1986 or who had died while in service prior to 01.01.1986 and are entitled to revised ex-gratia @ Rs.645/-p.m w.e.f 04 June, 2013 vide OM No 1/10/2012 -P&amp;PW(E) dated 27th June 2013.</li><li>(b) Central Government employees who had retired on CPF benefits before 18.11.1960 and are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs. 654/-, Rs.659/-, Rs.703/- and Rs.965/-.</li></ul>



<p>2. Payment of DR involving a fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee.</p>



<p>3. It will be the responsibility of the pension disbursing authorities, including the nationalized banks, etc. to calculate the quantum of DR payable in each individual case.</p>



<p>4. In so far as the persons serving in Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, as mandated under Article 148(5) of the Constitution of India.</p>



<p>5. This issues in pursuance of Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure&#8217;s OM No. 1/3(2)/2008-E.II(B) dated 12th October, 2022.</p>

<p>The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even no. dated 23.11.2021 and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief admissible to the CPF beneficiaries in receipt of basic ex-gratia payment in the 5 CPC series shall be enhanced <strong>w.e.f 01.01.2022</strong> in the following manner :</p>



<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985, and are entitled to basic ex-gratia @ Rs.3000, Rs.1000, Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June, 2013 vide OM No. 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd. 27th June, 2013 shall now be entitled to&nbsp;<strong>enhanced Dearness Relief from 368% of the basic ex-gratia to 381% of the basic ex-gratia w.e.f 01.01.2022.</strong></p>

<p>The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even no. dated 20.09.2021 and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief admissible to the CPF beneficiaries in receipt of basic ex-gratia payment in the 5th CPC series shall be enhanced w.e.f <strong>01.07.2021</strong> in the following manner :</p>

<p>2. Payment of DR involving a fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee.</p>



<p>3. It will be the responsibility of the pension disbursing authorities, including the nationalized banks, etc. to calculate the quantum of DR payable in each individual case.</p>



<p>4. In so far as the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, are concerned, these orders are issued in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, as mandated under Article 148(5) of the Constitution of India.</p>

<p>Subject: <strong>Grant of Dearness Relief in the 5th CPC series effective from 01.07.2019 to CPF beneficiaries in receipt of ex-gratia payment &#8211; reg</strong></p>



<p>In continuation of this Department’s OM No.42/04/2019- P&amp;PW(D) dated 27.03.2019, the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief w.e.f 01.07.2019 to the CPF beneficiaries in receipt of ex-gratia payment shall be paid in the following manner :-</p>



<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18,11.1960 and 31.12.1985, and were sanctioned ex-gratia @, Rs, 600/ p.m. w.e.f. 1.11.1997 under this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 and revised to Rs.3000, Rs.1000, Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June,2013 vide GM No.1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd. 27th June, 2013 shall be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from 295% to 312% w.c.f 01.07.2019.</p>

<p>(ii) The following categories of CPF beneficiaries who are in receipt of ex-gratia payment in terms of this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 shall be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from 287% to 304% w.e.f 01.07.2019.</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow"><p>(a) The widows and eligible children of the deceased CPF beneficiary who had retired from service prior to 1.1.1986 or who had died while in service prior to 1,1.1986 and were sanctioned ex-gratia payment of Rs. 605/- p.m. and revised to .Rs.645/-p.m w.e.f 04 June, 2013 vide OM No 1 /10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dated 27th June,2013.</p><p>(b) Central Government employees who had retired on CPF benefits before 18.11.1960 and are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs. 654/-, Rs.659/-, Rs.703/- and Rs.965/-</p></blockquote>

<p>Sub:- <strong>Grant of Dearness Relief in the 5th CPC series effective from 01.07.2018 to CPF beneficiaries in receipt of ex-gratia payment-reg</strong></p>
<p>In continuation of this Department&#8217;s OM No. 42/06/2018-P&amp;PW(G) dated 19.04.2018 the President is pleased to decide that the Deamess Relief w.e.f 01 .07.2018 to the CPF beneficiaries in receipt of ex-gratia payment shall be paid in the following manner:-</p>
<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985. and were sanctioned ex-gratia @ Rs. 600/ p.m. w.e.f. 01.11.1997 under this Department&#8217;s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 and revised to Rs.3000, Rs.1000. <p>The Central Government employees who are covered by CPF Rules (India) 1962 and who retired on or after 01.01.1986 are not entitled to any monthly pension/ex-gratia amount. However, the Government employees under CPF who retired between 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985 are entitled to monthly ex-gratia amount of the following rates:</p>

<p>Dearness ex-gratia equal to 50% of the amount of ex-gratia and Dearness Relief, as notified from time to time as per 5th Central Pay Commission series, on the sums of amount of ex-gratia and dearness ex-gratia is being paid to them. There is no proposal to increase the aforesaid rates.</p>
<p>This was stated by Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister of State for Finance in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.</p>

<p><strong>Sub:- Grant of Dearness Relief in the 5th CPC series effective from 01.07.2017 to CPF beneficiaries in receipt of ex-gratia payment-reg</strong></p>
<p>In continuation of this Department&#8217;s OM No. 42/15/2016-P&amp;PW(G) dated 12.05.2017, the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief @ 5th CPC w.e.f 01.07.2017 to the following categories :-</p>
<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985, and are in receipt of ex-gratia @ Rs. 600/ p.m. w.e.f. 1.11.1997 under this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 &amp; revised to Rs.3000, Rs.I000, Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June,2013 vide OM No. 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd. 27th June, 2013 shall be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from 264% to 268% w.e.f 01.07.2017.</p>
<p>(ii) The following categories of CPF beneficiaries who are in receipt of ex-gratia payment in terms of this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97 -P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 shall be entitled to enhanced Dearness Relief from 256% to 260% w.e.f 01.07.2017.</p>
<blockquote><p>(a) The widows and eligible children of the deceased CPF beneficiary who had retired from service prior to 1.1.1986 or who had died while in service prior to 1.1.1986 and are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs. 605/- p.m. &amp; revised to Rs.645/-p.m w.e.f 04 June, 2013 vide OM No 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dated 27th June,2013.</p>
<p>(b) Central Government employees who had retired on CPF benefits before 18.11.1960 and are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.654/-, Rs.659/-, Rs.703/- and Rs.965/-</p></blockquote>
<p>2. Payment of DR involving a fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee.</p>
<p>3. It will be the responsibility of the pension disbursing authorities, including the nationalized banks, etc. to calculate the quantum of DR payable in each individual case.</p>
<p>4. In their application to the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, these orders issue after consultation with the C&amp;AG.</p>
<p>5. This issues in pursuance of Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide their OM No.1/3/2008-E.II(B) dated 26th September,2017.</p>

<p><b>In continuation of this Department’s OM No. 42/10/2014-P&amp;PW(G) dated 28th Oct, 2015, the Presiden</b>t is pleased to grant the Dearness Relief at the rate of 5th CPC w.e.f. 1.1.2016 to the following :</p>

<p>The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 to 31.12.1985 and are in receipt of ex-gratia @ Rs.600/-p.m. w.e.f. 01.11.1997 under this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 &amp; revised to Rs.3000, Rs.1000, Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June,2013 vide OM No. 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd. 27th June, 2013 are entitled to Dearness Relief @ 245% w.e.f. 01.01.2016.</p>

<p>(ii) The following categories of CPF beneficiaries who are in receipt of ex-gratia payment in terms of this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 are entitled to DR ©237 % w.e.f. 01.01.2016.</p>

<p>In continuation of this Department’s OM No. 42/10/2014-P&amp;PW(G) dated 26th May, 2015, the President is pleased to grant the Dearness Relief at the rate of 5th CPC w.e.f. 1.7.2015 to the following:</p>
<p>(i) The surviving CPF beneficiaries who have retired from service between the period 18.11.1960 to 31.12.1985 and are in receipt of ex-gratia @ RS.600/-p.m. w.e.f. 01.11.1997 under this Department’s OM No.45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 &amp; revised to Rs.3000, Rs.1000,Rs.750 &amp; Rs.650 for Group A, B, C &amp; D respectively w.e.f 4th June,2013 vide OM No. 1/10/2012-P&amp;PW(E) dtd.27th June, 2013 are entitled to Dearness Relief @ 234% w.e.f. 1.7.2015.</p>
<p>(ii) The following categories of CPF beneficiaries who are in receipt of ex-gratia payment in terms of this Department’s OM No. 45/52/97-P&amp;PW(E) dated 16.12.1997 are entitled to DR @ 226% w.e.f. 1.7.2015.</p>
