Subject : Incorporation of Aadhaar Seeding provision in common /modified Account Opening Form to be used in National Savings Schemes for CBS and non CBS Post Offices -Regarding.

Sir/Madam,

Kindly refer to the SB Order No. 17/2020, issued vide this office letter No. 25/08/2072-FS (CBS) dated 15.04.2020 followed by Addendum to 58 Order 17/2020 dated 10.06.2020 on the subject cited above.

2. In order to facilitate the POSB Account holder to avail DBT benefits in their Post Office Savings Account, the competent authority has decided to incorporate column for Aadhaar Seeding in “Application for Opening of Account /Purchase of Certificate” form for benefits of the depositors and ease of operation.
3. Revised “Application for Account opening/ Purchase of certificate” Form along with Aadhaar Seeding mandate Form is enclosed for information and further necessary action.
4. It is requested to circulate this SB Order along with copy of Forms enclosed to all concerned for information and necessary action. The same may also be placed on the notice boards of the Post Offices in public area.

This issues with approval of the Competent Authority.

Subject:- Amendment to procedural rule in POSB(CBS)Manual/POSB Manual Volume regarding.

Sir/Madam,

In order to streamline payment of Incentive/ Commission to GDS SPM/ GDS BPM for opening of National Savings Time Deposit Accounts, POSB (CBS) Manual, Appendix VIII, para / Note 4 / POSB Manual Volume, Appendix X, para 1 Note 4 is amended as below:

“incentive will be payable to GDS SPMs/GDS BPMs irrespective of the location of Post Offices i.e. whether in rural area or in urban area subject to the condition that the address of the depositor falls within the delivery jurisdiction of the respective GDS Sub Post Office/Branch Post Office.”

Subject : Discontinuation of Commission under Pay Roll Savings Schemes.

Sir/Madam,

In continuation of SB Order 09/2016 dated 23.09.2016 the undersigned is directed to say that Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (Budget Division) New Delhi, vide its Memorandum No. 1/4/2015-NS.ll dated 12.05 2017, has conveyed that commission on Pay Roll Savings Scheme had been discontinued w.e.f. 01.10.2016. Now MOF has conveyed that only commission on PRSS has been discontinued and not the scheme, willing establishment can operate the scheme voluntarily without claiming commission . However, it needs to be ensured that no commission is paid by any post office to any Pay Roll Savings Group w.e.f. 01.10.2016. Case any commission has been paid after 01.10. 2016, necessary recovery be made.

2. This may kindly be circulated to all CBS and Non-CBS Host Offices for information and necessary guidance. This should also be placed on the Notice Board of all the Post Offices.

3.This issue with the approval of Competent Authority.
