<p>Subject: <strong>Posting of regular USs and posting on promotion to US grade on adhoc basis &#8211; seeking options &#8211; reg.</strong><br />
The undersigned is directed to say that one US who has returned from long leave is to be given posting. Further, it is also proposed to promote 21 SOs to US grade from the approved panel.</p>
<p>2. The vacancies proposed to be filled up and the officers who are to be considered for posting are given in the <strong>Annexures</strong> to this OM. The vacancies include the chain vacancies on account of impending promotion from US to OS grade and the retirement vacancies arising on 31.3.2016. Ministries/ Departments are requested to verify the vacancy position and in case of any discrepancy the same may be brought to the notice of this Department immediately.</p>
<p>3. <strong>The officers are requested to exercise option by 5.30 PM on 21.3.2016.</strong>The options should be submitted at the e-mail address given below as per enclosed proforma. Posting of officers will be decided in terms of RTP.<br />
4. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Web Based Cadre Management System:</strong></span> The officers concerned should also ensure that their data is complete in all respects in the web based cadre management system at <strong>cscms.nic.in</strong> If the data is not complete it should be first got updated through the nodal officer of the Ministry/ Department / CS.I Division before submitting option. <strong>If the data is not complete in the web based system, the officer concerned will not be considered for promotion! posting.</strong></p>

<p>Subject: <strong>Under Secretaries working on adhoc basis &#8211; Extension of period for one year beyond 31.05.2013.</strong></p>
<p>The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s order No.5/3/2010-CS.I(U), dated 26.05.2010 and subsequent several orders for promotion of Section Officers of the <a href="http://centralgovernmentnews.com/category/css/" target="_blank">CSS</a> to the grade of Under Secretary on adhoc basis. The tenure of adhoc appointment of the officers covered under the above orders and still continuing on <a href="http://centralgovernmentnews.com/?s=adhoc" target="_blank">adhoc</a> basis is upto 31.05.2013. With the approval of the competent authority, the tenure of adhoc appointment of Under Secretaries is hereby extended upto 31.05.2014 or till the posts are filled up on<br />
regular basis, whichever is earlier.</p>
<p>2. This order will be applicable to all such officers who are continuously holding the post of Under Secretary on adhoc basis as perafore mentioned orders. This order will, however, not be applicable to those officers whose promotions were cancelled subsequently. The continuation of the adhoc promotion beyond 31.05.2013 is subject to the conditions as mentioned in this Department’s afore mentioned orders.</p>
