<div>Even as the 7th Pay Commission was constituted recently by Government for revision of Pay and allowances of Central Government Employees, Railway Employees and Defence Personnels, wide spread speculations on projected 7th Pay Commission pay scales are already going on. Blogs that provide Central Government Employees news and information have already started estimating possible 7th CPC pay scales based on different ideas.</div>

<div>GConnect.in was the first site that launched 6th Pay Commission Pay, Pension and arrears Calculator which received atmost popularity among Central Government Employees and CG Pensioners.</div>

<div>While implementing 6th Pay Commission Government decided to adopt a multiplication factor of 1.86 for most of the pre-revised pay Scales to determine the revised pay in band of an employee</div>

<div>The 6th CPC revised pay in pay band of an employee was determined by multiplying the pre-revised basic pay drawn as on 01.01.2006 with 1.86 ( Of course, some of the pre-revised pay scales at higher level was revised by multiplying a factor more than 1.86).</div>

<p>This multiplying factor 1.86 was arrived at by taking in to account following components of pre-revised pay received by an employee prior to 01.01.2006.</p>

<div>As we all know, there was no uniform correlation between Grade Pay and Pay in Pay band in the 6th CPC Pay Band Structure. So the ratio between the present grade pay and starting pay in the pay band of particular grade pay group was taken as the factor to estimate the 7th CPC grade pay.</div>
<div></div>
<div>For example Ratio of 6th CPC Grade pay of Rs. 8700 to starting pay (Rs.37400) in that grade pay group is 0.2327. This factor is multiplied with 7th CPC starting pay (Rs.83780) to get the equivalent 7th CPC grade pay of Rs.19500. Wherever this factor exceeded 0.35, the same was fixed as 0.35.</div>

<div>Government of India has notified constitution of 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) vide Gazette notification No. 1/1/2013-E.III(A) dated 28th February, 2014. You may also be kindly aware that Seventh CPC is mandated to submit its report to the Government within 18 months of its constitution. Further the Commission has been mandated to appoint such Advisors, Institutional Consultants and Experts as deemed necessary for any particular purpose.</div>
<div>2. Temporary posts have been created by Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure for a period of 18 months from the date of constitution of the Commission or till closure of the Commission whichever is earlier. In addition to the pay scales, the posts will carry all other usual allowances as admissible in terms of orders and instructions in force on the subject as issued by the Government of India from time to time. These posts have to be filled up only on deputation basis.</div>

<div>3. It is intended to fill up the following vacancies on deputation basis by calling for applications from suitable, interested persons from various Ministries/Departments. Selected Officers shall either be given Deputation Allowances as per the existing rules or in deserving cases (wherever eligible) given one higher grade.</div>

<p>‘Expected DA from Jan 2014′ will be an end and the last and final calculation is waiting for CPI(IW) December 2013. Consumer Price Index(IW) for the month of December 2013 will be announced today or tomorrow by the Labour Bureau.</p>
<p>All we know that AICPIN is the magic number for the calculation of Dearness allowance. Especially, this is the last factor to decided for the purpose of additional Dearness allowance to Central Government Employees and Pensioners from January 2014.</p>
<p>CPI(IW) Base Year 2001=100, if possible the index move from the existing level of 243 to 246 then the additional DA from Jan 2014 will be fixed at 11%. But, the chances are very less.</p>
<p>The All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers for Agricultural Labourers and Rural Labourers alos decreased by 12 points for the month of December 2013. Anyhow, certainly the additional Dearness allowance will be fixed at the level of 10%. So, the total Dearness allowance will become as 100%.</p>
<p>Finally the DA hits century..!</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Central Dearness Allowance for Jan&#8217;14 and Bank D.A. from Feb&#8217;14 will be known today (31.01.2014)</strong></p>
<p>With the scheduled release of AICPIN No. for December 2013 by Labour Bureau, the actual increase in Dearness Allowance for Central Govt. employees from 01.01.2014 and Bank employees from Feb to April 2014 can be calculated today. Usually the data is released in the evening. It is anticipated earlier that Central employees are going to get 10% increase and Bank employees to get 34 slabs hike in D.A.</p>
<p>As the central D.A. pattern is followed by most of the state Govt.s , everybody is waiting to know the final calculation.</p>
