Expected DA July 2022
The Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees is calculated using the 12-month average of the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW). These indices are compiled and published by the Ministry of Labour’s Labor Bureau. The figures are released on a monthly basis, with the preceding month’s index released at the conclusion of the next month. By comparing retail price inflation to prices in a base year, the CPI IW is calculated. The CPI-IW is now used to calculate the DA, with 2016 as the base year. The CPI-IW figures can be available at http://labourbureau.gov.in/ on the labour bureau’s website.
