I am a retired Group officer from the office of the Controller General of Defence Accounts. Retired on 30/06/2003 on the scale of (then ) Rs 8000-275-13500 and my last basic pay at the time of retirement was Rs 13225. My pension as per the Concordance table 31 was correctly fixed at Rs 38850/- However as per table 29 which is for B grade Officer but having the same scale of pay ie Rs 8000=275-13500 (then ) and if a person retires in the same scale of pay and same basic pay of Rs 13225 and retires with the same basic pay gets Rs 38950 as per the concordance table bearing No 29. This is an anomaly where a Senior officer is getting less pension than a junior officer. This point was brought to the notice of all the concerned depts but there is no result. This anomaly was brought to the notice of the Govt by JCM in their meeting held senior officers of the concerned ministries and Joint Secy promised to look into the matter and this happened in Jan 2019. We are not aware whether any action was taken to resolve this anomaly
