Sub: Holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2023 – reg.
The Executive Committee Meeting of the Central Government Employees Welfare Cb-ordination Committee, Chennai was convened on 17.11.2022. The Committee has decided to declare the following three additional holidays as per para 3.1 of the above cited letter:

Since Pongal (15.01.2023 ) and Ganesh Chaturthi ( 19.09.2023) have been declared as closed holiday by the CGEWCC, the same were removed from the list of Restricted Holidays and an additional holiday for Dusshra on 25.10.2023 was selected by all the members of CGEWCC.

Accordingly, the list of closed holidays and restricted holidays for the Year 2023 for the Central Government Offices in the State of Tamil Nadu as decided in the Executive Committee meeting held virtually / online on 17.11.2022, in terms of DoPT, New Dellii OM F.No. 12/5/2021- JCA-2 dated 16.06.2022, are enclosed herewith for information and necessary action.
