Dearness Allowance is an important component of the pay structures for Central government employees in India. DA is increased twice every six months. Every year on January 1st and July 1st, the specific amount of DA will be raised. The current DA percentage is 31%.
DA Rates from January 2020
1.1.2020 = Additional DA 4% (17% + 4%) 21%
1.7.2020 = Additional DA 3% (21% + 3%) 24%
DA Rates from January 2021
1.1.2021 = Additional DA 4% (24% + 4%) 28%
1.7.2021 = Additional DA 3% (28% + 3%) 31%
Dearness Allowance Hike News January 2022 – DA Announcement Latest News July 2022
The actual percentage of Dearness Allowance from July 2021 for Central Government employees, pensioners and family pensioners is now 31%.
From January 2022, the percentage of DA will be 34% of basic pay for Central Government employees and pensioners.
The expected percentage of additional Dearness Allowance from January 2022 will be 3%.
The DA percentage will be set by the increase of AICPIN numbers; therefore, we can predict that the DA for CG pensioners will increase by 3% from the current rate beginning in January 2022.
